Curvy as Fork started because I got tired of waiting.
Waiting to feel confident enough.
Waiting to feel “ready.”
Waiting to be smaller, braver, improved… whatever the invisible requirement was supposed to be.
Travel cracked that open for me. Not because it fixed anything, but because it showed me what was possible when I stopped organizing my life around my comfort zone. Once I started saying yes to experiences, everything else followed. Food. Movement. Care. Rest. Pleasure. Curiosity. Not as self-improvement projects, but as ways of actually living.
Curvy as Fork is where we write about that. About exploring your possibilities in a larger body, without apologizing for it or turning it into a transformation story.
I’m not here to tell anyone what to do with their body. I’m here to talk honestly about what I’ve tried, what worked, what didn’t, and what made my world feel bigger
You won’t find weight-loss plans, body-fixing projects, or the idea that your life needs to get smaller before it gets better.
You won’t find diet talk dressed up as wellness, “before and after” stories, or food being treated like a moral test. Eating here is about nourishment, pleasure, culture, and enjoyment, whether that’s fine dining, street food, or something simple at home.
You won’t find fitness content built around punishment, transformation, or earning rest. Movement here isn’t about changing your body to make it acceptable. It’s about vitality, curiosity, and capability at any size.
You won’t find hustle culture, productivity worship, or the belief that discomfort builds character. Comfort isn’t a flaw. Rest isn’t laziness. Wanting ease doesn’t mean you’re doing life wrong.
You won’t find performative positivity or inspirational fluff that ignores reality. This isn’t about pretending things are easy. It’s about being honest, thoughtful, and practical in a body the world doesn’t always design for.
And you won’t find shame. Not about your body, your appetite, your pace, or your choices.
We believe life gets bigger when you stop waiting to feel ready, approved, or different. Curvy as Fork exists to question the quiet rules that shrink people’s lives and to explore what happens when you say yes anyway.
Care here isn’t about looking like you’re taking care of yourself. It’s about comfort that actually helps, rest that doesn’t need to be earned, and choices that support your real life. Self-care isn’t a reward. It’s how you keep going.
Fun, pleasure, and delight aren’t distractions from a meaningful life, they’re part of it. We believe joy belongs in everyday living, in travel, in food, and in the small moments that make life feel lighter and more expansive.
Bodies aren’t the problem. Bad design is. We care about spaces, experiences, and products that treat plus-size people with dignity and thoughtfulness, and we’re not shy about naming it when they don’t.
You’ll find real stories about trying things you were told weren’t for you, and discovering that the rules were never as fixed as you thought.
You’ll find travel content that centres comfort, dignity, and experience. Hotels that work. Tours that feel supportive. Destinations that welcome you, or don’t, and why that matters.
You’ll find food talked about as pleasure and culture, not something to manage or justify. Restaurant reviews, travel meals, nourishing recipes, and the simple joy of eating well.
You’ll find honest, experience-based reviews of skincare, beauty, clothing, shoes, gear, and tools that support real bodies living real lives. Not hype. Not perfection. Just what worked, what didn’t, and what I’d choose again.
You’ll find movement framed as curiosity and vitality, not punishment. Bikes, walking, outdoor experiences, home gyms, and ways of moving that expand your world without turning your body into a project.
You’ll find radical self-care that’s practical and embodied. Care that values comfort, rest, pleasure, and choice. Care that makes life easier and wider, not just prettier.
And you’ll find a steady reminder that you don’t need to change your body to explore your possibilities.
